“Bond with nature: exploring beauty in Hong Kong's biodiversity” is a photobook co-authored by the Environment Bureau and the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. This book highlights the beautiful countryside and coasts of Hong Kong, inspiring the community to preserve natural assets and support ecological civilisation. The authors introduce various local natural habitats such as country parks, marine parks, wetlands, mudflats, mangroves, islands and special areas in Hong Kong, and describe how the government implement nature conservation measures and co-operate with cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) to promote environmental protection and economic development.

A basic understanding of biodiversity is important for people to take action for protecting ecosystem and conserve the natural environment. A rich diversity of plants, wild mammals, amphibians and marine species are introduced in the book.

Using impressive photos and rich information on natural habitats, this book outlines the wonderful biodiversity of Hong Kong. It also showcases the close operation among cities of GBA for ecological corridors and biodiversity protection. Apart from enjoying reading this book, I encourage you to adopt green living, conserve our nature, explore the beauty in Hong Kong’s biodiversity and build up a sustainable GBA together.
