Zoom/LIBRARY

The Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL) has been cultivating a reading habit among members of the public through quality and diversified collections and reading activities on various platforms. To further promote reading citywide and to tie in with the annual Hong Kong Reading for All Day on 23 April, the HKPL continue to collaborate with various stakeholders by holding Hong Kong Reading Week 2025 from 19 to 27 April 2025. A series of large-scale on-site and online reading activities will be rolled out across the territory to further promote the benefits of reading and quality books, as well as to encourage members of the public to enjoy the fun of reading and cultivate a reading habit, so as to foster a citywide reading ambience and build Hong Kong into a city of avid readers.

The HKPL has chosen travelling footprints, spiritual healing and temperament improvement as the reading focus and “Zoom/LIBRARY” as the theme of Hong Kong Reading Week 2025. Travelling to different places serves as an exit from everyday life, while reading allows us to transcend physical boundaries. By setting foot on a journey through different cultures, we can picture the scenery, learn new things and improve our temperament.
