Owl babies
By Martin Waddell, Patrick Benson

Introduction by Librarian

Where is mommy? What happened to her? Will she come back? Three baby owls wake up one night and find their mommy is gone. They are scared and wondering what happened to their mommy. Conversations among the baby owls are interesting and adorable. Finally, owl mommy returns and reassures the little owls. Small kids are afraid of being alone and away from their parents and their fears of separation are understandable. This book is a good tool for parents to better understand their kids’ feelings and to help ease their kids’ separation anxiety.

The story is sweet and the artwork of beautiful, light-colored fluffy round-eyed owl babies against a moonlit background is relaxing and soothing. It is a wonderful story book for nap time, story time and bedtime, and everyone will have more fun using different voices for the three baby owls in storytelling. A thoroughly enjoyable story for both parents and children.
